Shadowcat

Before the X men where a box office smash they were characters in a comic book. On the last movie there was a character that could walk through walls. Her name is kitty pride and she has been around in the pages of marvel since 1980. Her phasing power not only let her walk through walls but with great concentration she is able to float and phase object or other people. Her codename is Shadowcat. Imagine if you could do that.

Es absolutamente imposible sufrir por amor. Decir que se sufre por amor es una contradiccion, no se sufre por ser feliz.

FIGHT!

So today I wanted to draw something fun. Chun li has become a very famous charachter ever since she became one the first female fighters in the videogame genera. Yet for pop culture she has become somewhat of an icon specially in japan. My version is really impressive!

Light and Darkness

Light cannot exist without Darkness.
Darkness is the absence of light.
The other side of the same coin.
Yet the dark part of anything is always trying to gain more than the light.
But what if a person could maintain darkness at bay. What if a higher entity gives that task to single person. Tabatha Bogard has that task in her hands. It seems to suit her she herself relishes on her dark side. But because she herself so well she knows how to make the darknes bend to her will.
With the power to transporte herself through any shadow she can go anywhere at the blink of an eye.
Within the darkness there is something always lurking. Why do you think little girls and boys fear it. She can manifest any fear that a person sees in the shadows. And as Illyana she can shape the shadows to any form that she wants.
Since her personality is more offensive than a defensive, she usually uses the form of chains. Since she is the complete opposite of Illyana she cannot go near her because Illyana with no reason can consume her with her own light. This is hard for both of them because in actual life they are siblings, sisters. Condemmend never to have contact with each other.
Tabatha has more faith in herself , and in god than anybody else, yet can she really stand the seduction of the darkness....

Illyana have faith in yourself...

So this is one of the six character I have created in my head and finally I can present her to the world.

What if a person can be made of pure light, that light coming from the power of faith.
Let's just assume that such a person could be created, full of hope, dreams, and optimism and more important faith. She would have to be almost an angel, beautiful, graceful. Yet not an angel because she is human.

I present Illyana Christian Anderson (not sure about the name yet) . A girl that is made of basically light in a subatomic level. Her whole body is homing with pure faith and because she has faith in a supreme being and a unbreakable spirit she can become the sun itself.

With the power of flight and able to generate beams of almost solid light, which she can manipulate to any shape she wishes, she is one of the six most powerful beings in the universe. Yet if she ever feels doubt or scared or frightened or stops believing in that supreme being. Not only her powers stop working but she goes into shock.
Powerful and beautiful at the same time if she never doubts herself she can accomplish anything.

Why comics?

A few months ago someone asked me why I am inspired by comics. He just didn't get it.
When my mother introduced me to comic books, she did it so that I could learn english faster. She thought that with the images I would learn at a much expeditious pace. She did not anticipate that It would become a relationship between the characters in the comic book and myself. The world of comics, in spite of the typical geek connotation, has a lot of popular subtence. Since comic books have been around they have changed with the era.
The fact is that it may have started as a distraction for children in the 1950's, but since then the characters in the comic books have evolved from just saving people and having the power of flight and laser vision. To having problems as any other real bone and flesh person. For example batgirl recently came out of the closet, green latern has a been noted to have been a bigot, even some characters have died as a way of reflecting the age in which we live.
As my love for comics grew so did my imagination, I became so involved with the narration and description of the characters that I made up my own.
